I have found that there is a shortage of horizontal space in bathroom, especially guest bathrooms and pedestal sink bathrooms. This give you some temporary space to set clothes, toiletries and towels while you are in the bathroom and allows you to leave without a trace. It is not recommended for hour long showerers as the steam is not good for a wood product with photos.
